A cookie is a tiny text file a website leaves in your browser so it can remember something useful — like the fact you're signed in, or that you've already dismissed a banner. We use the smallest number of cookies we can reasonably get away with. No advertising cookies. No cross-site tracking. Ever.
Categories we use
1. Essential (always on)
These keep the site working. They cannot be turned off in the banner because without them the site simply doesn't function.
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| sb-*-auth-token | Keeps you signed in as a member. Set only after you log in. | Session / 1 year on "remember me" |
| dramgood.cookie-consent.v1 | Remembers your choice in the cookie banner so we don't ask again. | 12 months (local storage) |
| dramgood.session | CSRF and session integrity for form submissions. | Session |
2. Analytics (opt-in)
Only set if you tick "Pour the full measure" or enable analytics in the customise panel. Anonymous, aggregated, no cross-site tracking, no advertising IDs. Used purely so we know which reviews are being read and which pages are loading slowly.
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| _dg_page | Anonymous page-view counter (no user ID). | 30 days |
| _dg_visit | Rolling visit identifier for aggregate return-visit stats. | 24 hours |
3. Third-party
We do not embed advertising, social widgets, or third-party trackers. The only third-party requests the site makes are to load our web fonts and to reach our own backend (auth, database). None of those set marketing cookies.
Change your measure
You can revisit your choice at any time — pour more, pour less, or refuse the lot. Clicking below clears your stored preference and re-opens the banner.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings — see aboutcookies.org for a step-by-step guide per browser. Note that blocking essential cookies will stop you signing in.
Do Not Track
We respect Do Not Track (DNT) signals. If your browser sends DNT, analytics cookies will not be set even if the banner is accepted.
Changes
If we add or remove a cookie we update the tables above and bump the cask date. Material changes will re-open the banner so you can re-consent.
